fretwork bonnet encasing a silvered brass face with pewter
spandrels and Roman numeral chapter ring below a bull’s-eye
signed “B. Chandlee, Nottingham” all over a waisted case
with tombstone door over a conforming base with step-down

Provenance according to documents: Clock was purchased on
December 3, 1963 by Miriam and Alfred Clegg at the A.R. Cox
Auction. It was sold for Dr. Samuel S. Simons, MD,
Lancaster, PA. The clock was originally in the possession of
the Haines Family of Mt. Welcome in the southern part of
Lancaster County near Nottingham, Chester County.
